T.D. Jakes Has a Perspective
T.D. Jakes, minister, author of the supermarket book-aisle favorite He-Motions, has a perspective.
I came across it at a truck stop on my way to Thanksgiving. It may be a little hard to understand, but here goes:
Proof that it’s not a typo:
Aaaand your guess is as good as mine. Maybe it has something to do with this?
Post-Google Update: So it’s a quote from the bible. It’s still fucking strange.

I know I’m going to sound like a huge bible thumper when I say this, however I’m not, the ” I Am” statement comes from the bible when Moses asked the burning bush (God), “Who are you?” And God responds something akin to, “I Am that I Am.” I don’t really know the whole quote but that’s where it comes from.
btw that link at the bottom of the post was funny/ironic as all get out, and I love your writings they’re great!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

It just means, “I have come in my father’s name.” It’s a leftover from German grammar where verbs that indicate movement use the auxiliary verb “to be” instead of “to have.”

Hahaha, it totally does. Would make a great last line of a Christian erotic story, though. I think I might just write one that uses it, just so it exists.

And since the Old Testament dudes couldn’t say the name of their god he was often called I Am or the Great I Am but if you want creepy, the Church is said to be the bride of Christ in the New Testament. From the very first time I heard that my mind went right to the wedding night. Ewww!
