Wow. Great story. Well written and easy to read.
This and the previous “Straight Dan and Me” story remind me of a story by one of my favorite authors from the pre-internet paperback days.
An author using the name Clay Caldwell wrote “Stud Shorts” with a story “Playing It Straight” about two co-workers on a business trip who got conveniently stuck in a hotel room together.
Whatever happened to Clay Caldwell and who is he? Does he still write? I Google his name and can find Amazon books by him but no other info.

By the way, just use the term “buddy” or “bud” in a story and you got my attention 🙂

Rick – never heard of the author but I definitely want to check that story out. I love the whole “co-workers share a bed on a trip” storyline. And I’m SO with you – “bud” does it for me every time.
