She made the second selection (Netflix instant view: we just got the Wii adapter CD that lets you watch it on your TV), a version of “Peter and the Wolf” animated by Suzie Templeton. Amazing, stop-motion animation like I’ve never seen before, fluid and hyper-detailed in this grungy/realistic yet expressionistic style.

More revelations: this film features a very young and instantly-recognizable Michael Cera and an apparent reference to Todd Browning’s “Freaks.”
