  My GOD where do you find these! I love it… I want a greek guy to show me the real meaning of life. Craigslist is so inspiring, I need to start looking at Lubbock’s for hilarity.

  arctic_jay – Thanks for these references. I actually just discovered Mark Simpson and his blog. Eve Sedgewick I’d never heard of – seems potentially interesting, albeit uber-academic and hard to understand.

  I haven’t read her book, Between Men, yet, but considering her influences, it’s probably the case that her writing seems hard to understand because it’s mostly bs. Her basic premise, though, that men use sex with women as a way of bonding each other is entirely plausible.

  I mean that is what these guys are doing (especially the father/son teams), isn’t it?
